Manage the month-end cost and inventory accounting activities, ensuring the accurate, timely, and proper recording of inventory-related financial information in accordance with GAAP. Ensure the integrity of inventory-related system data, cost accuracy of materials and products, and the reporting of inventory-related financial information. Supervise cost accounting activities performed by an external provider (located in India). Assigning and personally perform accounting duties. Reviewing and monitoring monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports. Researching and resolving sensitive complex issues related to accounting transactions to ensure the organizations' compliance with rules and regulations. Reviewing work papers that support the assigned work, including manual journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide recommendations and solutions for existing financial accounting activities, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with accepted standards and practices. Lead the discipline of maintaining financial data integrity and internal controls and manage the implementation of new processes or controls. Oversee the physical inventory process. Help facilitate plants¿ plans for timing and assign roles and responsibilities for the execution and reconciliation of the results. Assist Plant leadership to establish and monitor site internal control processes to be consistently maintained and developing a remediation plan for identified control deficiencies, if any. Coordinate support of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls and external auditor for plant accounting-related matters. Support cross-functional teams utilizing project management capabilities to meet enterprise objectives for system implementations, new product introductions, etc. Partner to resolve issues with project teams, project leaders, business partners, and other functions to meet business and fiduciary requirements.
